Joseph Henry Lumpkin School of Law
The University of Georgia

Hirsch Hall was completed in 1932 and named after a prominent UGA alumnus and benefactor, Harold Hirsch. This handsome, three story, brick building is occupied by the University of Georgia School of Law. The founders, William Hope Hull, Thomas R.R. Cobb and Joseph Henry Lumpkin, were well respected attorneys, and Lumpkin, for whom the school was briefly named, was the first Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court.
